Mr. Ainslie paid a visit to his native land, and, before returning, published a volume entitled " A Pilgrimage to the Land of Burns." He spent the last years of his life in St. Louis, where he died in March, 1878. The music of " The Ingle Side " was composed by T. V. Wiesenthal, a German music-teacher, in Pennsylvania.
